The 2008 Festival is now over!
The 2009 Festival will take place from Friday 2nd October-Sunday 18th October 2009.
Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday 25th August at 9am.

Enterprising young people who took part in our Cool Voices club night and the Subterranean Home Sick Blues fringe group have put records of their event on Youtube. Go to www.youtube.com and search Ilkley Literature Festival to see the results.
2008 Fringe Events
This year's fringe events included the UK's finest young poets (aged from 16 -25) in an event staged by Cadaverine- the young poets' magazine; a demonstration of swimhiking in the River Wharfe; Bells a cameo version of Eddie Lawler's new musical about the Brontes performed by local young people and a compelling evening of monologues by asylum seekers.

Schools' Events Programme
This year's schools programme involved pupils from more than twenty five primary and secondary schools in a variety of workshops and special events.

2008 Festival Volunteers
Many thanks to the ninety two volunteer stewards who helped at this year's Festival. Aged from 16 to 80 plus, our stewards make a huge difference to the smooth running of events. 2009 recuritment will open in March.
