Secondary Schools Events
All schools are warmly invited to take part in our special events for young people and to bring students to any events in the main programme. How about as trip to hear Simon Armitage, Liz Lochead, Simon Callow on Charles Dickens or Melvyn Bragg on the impact of the King James Version of the Bible on history and literature?
Our special curriculum links sheet will be sent to schools at the beginning of term in September 2011 or you can access it here. We’d be grateful if you could display it in your Staff Room.
Special Events for Young People in 2011 include:
Young People’s WordsFest
A special Cool Voice WordsFest for young people aged 12 to 18 at Otley Courthouse Arts Centre on Sun 9th October which will feature a range of workshops sessions from writing a screen play to creating a fictional character, graffiti, writing poetry and writing for gaming with staff from the University of Sunderland plus great chocolate cake and a fun informal poetry and prose slam competition.
