Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. When you purchase tickets for Ilkley Literature Festival on-line, your credit card transaction will be processed via Barclays Bank’s on-line, secure, credit card/debit card transaction system. This is to give you security and peace of mind.

2. When you make a purchase, your card will be processed by Barclays automatically for the whole amount due. This will take a few minutes.

3. If your card is declined, then a message to this effect will be displayed on screen and the ticket purchasing transaction will be void.

4. Your tickets will be held at the event venue for collection, from 60 minutes before the event is due to start.

If you have ordered tickets for a number of events, all your tickets will be held at the event venue for you to collect at the first event scheduled.

If, for any reason, you are unable to collect them at this time, they will be available for you at the next event for which you have purchased tickets.

5.  In order to collect your tickets, you will need to bring your ticket order reference number and the credit card with which you made the purchase.

6.  If you prefer your tickets to be sent out by post, please email your reference number to boxoffice@ilkleyliteraturefestival.org.uk.

We aim to send tickets out within 7 days.

Please note: We do not despatch tickets on Saturdays or Sundays, or less than 7 days before an event.

7.  Concessions, where available, need to be supported by proof of entitlement. Please bring proof when you collect your tickets.

8. All ticket orders are subject to a fixed handling charge of £2.

9. Tickets may be returned to the box office for resale. However, returned tickets will only be put up for resale once the event concerned has sold out and will only be re-sold, on the door, at the event itself. We cannot guarantee that we will  be able to re-sell your tickets, even if the event has sold out.

A 10% handling charge will apply on all resold tickets.

10. Ilkley Literature Festival is unable to issue refunds or exchange tickets except as stated under 13. below.

11.  Any offers we make are designed to be used independently, and are not available in conjunction with any other offer.

12. All event details are correct at the time of purchase, but events may be subject to change without notice.

13. In the unlikely case that an event is cancelled, Ilkley Literature Festival will refund the cost of tickets purchased for that event.

14.  Ilkley Literature Festival reserve the right to refuse admission.

15.  All event details are correct at the time of going to print. Ilkley Literature Festival lts is not liable for any subsequent changes. 

These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

We appreciate that security is a major issue for anyone purchasing on the Internet. You need to know that a website is legitimate, and transactions are secure before you buy. To address these issues, Ilkley Literature Festival uses the epdq service administered and run by Barclays Bank to process your credit card details. This uses a secure encryption process which takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code which are then encrypted and securely transmitted from your computer to Barclays secure server.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We store the information that you have provided when contacting us, registering for information or ordering tickets to allow us to process your orders and for marketing purposes. We may contact you from time to time with information about the Ilkley Literature Festival and its events unless you have notified us otherwise. We will not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.
