24. Matson Taylor: The Miseducation of Evie Epworth – LIVE-STREAMED

Matson Taylor’s joyful debut novel is a bittersweet comedy set in a small Yorkshire village in the summer of 1962. The book follows Evie, the fastest milk delivery girl in East Yorkshire, as she navigates her way out of school and into life – but what kind of life will she choose?

Matson grew up in Yorkshire and both he and Evie have many local connections. He’ll be talking about how his job as a design historian helped inspire the book and, with Yorkshire Post journalist Yvette Huddleston, discussing a broad range of topics from strong women and celebrity book clubs to Yorkshire humour and bringing out a debut in lockdown.
