41. Sharon Blackie: Wise Women
Join award-winning writer, psychologist and mythologist Sharon Blackie to hear retold myths and folk tales that celebrate the wisdom and power of women in midlife and beyond. From early childhood, we learn about the world through myths and fairy tales. The heroines, though, tend to be young princesses, and the evil-doers often older women. Blackie turns old stereotypes on their head, revealing a dazzling array of not-to-be-messed-with women who outwit monsters, test and mentor younger heroines, weave the world into being and almost always have the last laugh.
