Lu’s The Funeral Cryer tells the
story of a professional mourner in
contemporary rural China who is
outcast by her village until a leap of
faith shows her it’s never too late to
alter your fate. Roffey’s Passiontide
depicts four courageous women
compelled to speak out after the
shocking murder of another young
woman on their Caribbean island
and the revolutionary consequences
of their bravery.
