‘I Am No Bird’ by Sophia Hatfield and Lisa Cagnacci. A Stute Theatre Production supported by Stephen Joseph Theatre and the Brontë Parsonage Museum.
“Why keep trying to be nice? To be liked? It didn’t work then and it won’t work now. I just want to tell my story my way.”
In a world designed to silence them, three women fight to break down barriers and find their voices, ‘half savage, hardy’ and, above all, ‘free’.
Featuring live looped music, spoken word and Stute Theatre’s unique approach to multi-skilled storytelling, this bold, feminist show shines a fresh light on the lives and works of the Brontë sisters.
“Very entertaining with a lovely modern twist.” “Fast-paced, fearless, feminist and bold!”
This performance will take place via Zoom. Bookers will receive further information about how to access the Zoom performance after booking their ticket.
