Ilkley Lit Fest Summer Fringe – 29 July

Come and see local creatives perform in a range of artforms, in this free, outdoor event.

Thursday 29 July 6.30 – 8pm

Poetry by Sile Sibanda performing a set inspired by her heritage and life experiences, including her poem Now I will be Brave Enough.

Poetry by Ruth Steinberg, a Geordie Jewish woman, writer and story weaver, who will perform her poem ‘The Spark; a dance of Hope, Fear and Love’.

Music by Jumbo Chords, a Leeds band focussing on harmonies and great songs – The Beatles and Elliott Smith are big influences.

A short play No Surgical Stockings by Alison Shutt, (performed by Stephen Brown and Geraldine Woodhouse): Time moves on but it’s never too late to throw away your surgical stockings.

This event will take place outdoors in the Manor House Courtyard. If the weather is bad, the event will be cancelled. Please refer to this page and our social media channels before the event to check whether the event has been cancelled. This event will be socially distanced. Attendees will be asked to follow health and safety regulations and to wear masks when moving around the venue. Hand sanitising stations will also be available.
