What is the Story Explorer Group?
Story Explorer is a FREE interactive book group for children, featuring reading, writing and design activities.
Over a number of weeks, children will work through an exciting book for their age group with group leader Sandra Flitcroft – exploring the book’s themes and characters as they read! In the process they will learn new words, imagine new worlds from different characters’ points of view, and craft a range of designs including their own book and party decorations. Each week the group will also try out fun ways to write their own stories and poems with creative writing games and top tips.
When and where do sessions take place?
The group is based at Keighley Library during term time. Sessions take place weekly on Saturdays, run from 10.00am-12.00pm and the sessions are free to attend!

Who is Story Explorers for?
The group is open to everyone between Years 4 and 7. Whether you want to get more creative or just have fun exploring stories, we invite you to join us!

Who Leads the Story Explorers?
The group is led by experienced DBS-checked leaders, Artist & Workshop Facilitator Sandra Flitcroft and supported by Adrian Thompson.
Sandra Flitcroft and Adrian Thompson have worked with Ilkley Literature Festival for many years running other Story Explorer activities.
