Reserved Seating
Reserved seating is in place at the majority of venues. You will be able to select your seats when booking and the seat number will appear on your ticket and in your confirmation email.
Accessible Seating
If you require an accessible seat – such as a wheelchair space, an aisle seat, or a complimentary essential companion ticket – please call the Box Office on 01943 816714 so we can reserve you an appropriate seat.
Door Sales
It will be possible to purchase tickets on the door at events, subject to availability. Please check the website to see if tickets remain available before travelling to the venue to avoid disappointment.

Photography
Please note that photography and/or filming will take place at ILF events and workshops. Photos and films may be used by Word Up North online and in print for press and marketing purposes. If you do not wish to appear in photographs or films, please inform a member of staff at the event.
Ticket Delivery
As part of our efforts to reduce the number of paper tickets we print, we are encouraging bookers to opt for e-tickets.
If you are not able to use e-tickets, we can post your tickets for £2.50. Tickets booked within 7 days of the event will automatically be send as e-tickets.
Concessions
We offer concessionary tickets to young people and people in financial need. As such, concessions are available to the following people (proof of status will be required):
– Students in full-time education and people under 25.
– People in receipt of disability or health condition benefits, Universal Credit, Universal Pension Credit or Jobseekers Allowance from the UK government.
– People in receipt of Housing Benefit or Council Tax Relief from their Local Authority.
Concessionary prices are stated after the full price for each event, e.g. £12/9
Refunds & Returned Tickets
Tickets will not be refunded unless a performance is cancelled.
We can accept returned tickets for sold out events. Any returned tickets will be made available for resale online and/or on the door at venues. Refunds for all returned tickets will be processed after the festival has ended and are subject to a 10% handling fee.
Bursary Places
We offer a limited number of free bursary places on each of our writing workshops for people who might not otherwise be able to afford them. Applying for a bursary place is simple, just fill in the online application form here or call us on 01943 816714.
