37. Sharon Blackie: Ripening – Folk Tales for Modern Times
Long before they became bywords for people-pleasing princesses, fairy and folk tales told us everything that women need to learn about the world. Passed down through generations, such stories told of difficult and dangerous times, requiring their heroines to face fears and peril to succeed. In Ripening, award-winning author and psychologist Sharon Blackie insists that ancient stories of transformation can help us navigate the present and future with courage and resilience.
There will be a BSL interpreter at this event.
