Project Wharfe Speed! At Ilkley Manor House on Saturday 3rd October at 2pm, authors Dr. Amy-Jane Beer (The Flow)and Rob Cowen (The North Road) and artist Anji Timlin will be talking wildly about their love of the river Wharfe. Cowen and Beer will read some of their very latest work. All around you will be CONDUIT, Timlin’s latest collection of large scale, immersive, lyrical paintings about rivers Wharfe and Worth.

The fifth – and final – display of the marvellous machines that changed the world. See and try out machines from the 1900s to the 1980s and enter the Typewriter Trail to win one of five typewriters! Typewriter poet Molly Ovenden and artist Olly May will be creating new artworks and typewriter expert David Trapps will be on hand to dispense technical advice.

Join multilingual poet and writer Nabeela Ahmed for this showcase of the work of ten regional published writers. October’s event features short story writer Matt Hill and poet Agnieszka Stachura as well as eight other writers of a range of genres and languages. Listen to each writer for ten minutes, chat to them over a cuppa and be inspired by all their creativity.
