In her landmark book, Oxford University climate change researcher, Dr Maryam Aslany, restores the peasantry to the centre of our global story. Jill has spent 35 years as a journalist including 30 years as an on-air BBC foreign news correspondent and BBC programme presenter – through this role she has interviewed thousands of people – from different cultures, different walks of life from refugees to prime ministers. Her 14thnovel was recently published March 2026 with her latest documentary aired in May 2026.
