89. Jasper Fforde: Dark Reading Matter
In 2001, after receiving 76 rejection letters from publishers, Jasper Fforde’s first novel The Eyre Affair finally made it to bookshop shelves, introducing readers to a remarkable heroine – literary detective Thursday Next – and a universe in which literary fiction mixes with time travel, alternative history and satirical sci-fi. Twenty-five years later, Dark Reading Matter, the eighth and final adventure is here. Join the endlessly inventive Fforde to find out if he can guide his inimitable series to a satisfactory narrative conclusion.
