Bestselling author of The Other Bolelyn Girl and The White Queen, Philippa Gregory, is coming to the Kings Hall on Wednesday 19 August to talk about her latest book, The Taming of a Queen. Focusing on Katherine Parr, The Taming of a Queen is a deeply intimate portrayal of a woman who longed for passion, power and eduction and was the only wife who managed to outlive Henry VIII. Known for her gripping writing, Philippa Gregory is the queen of historical fiction. Her books, chronicling the lives of Tudor women at court, have been adapted for film and television as well as being loved by readers across the world and we are delighted to be welcoming her to Ilkley for this special event.
