112. Shabnam Ahsan: Writing Ghost Stories

The perfect pre-Halloween writing workshop! Drawing on local legends or folklore from your family heritage, you’ll learn the key elements of the classic ghost story, how to build suspense, and explore different ways to end your story. You’ll come away with an outline and opening few paragraphs of a ghost story, which you can complete in your own time.

Dr Shabnam Ahsan is an educator, writer, and researcher of literature specialising in national identity, British fairytales and folklore.
