Navigating modern dating and intimacy is a challenge. Dating apps are a minefield, norms and labels are changing, and technology is encroaching everywhere. Is there an upside to how we meet and date now? Join Dr Luke Brunning, Lecturer in Applied and Interdisciplinary Ethics at the IDEA Centre at the University of Leeds, for a talk on the dilemmas and advantages of modern intimate relationships: from attraction to dating apps, commitment to jealousy, human love to robots and AI.
This event will be chaired by Sally Johnson.
Sally Johnson is Emeritus Professor of Linguistics in the School of Modern Languages, Cultures and Societies at the University of Leeds. She is author/co-editor of several books on aspects of language and inequality in relation to both English and German.
