49. Paul ‘Piglet’ Middleton: All Aboard
Climb on board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway – the world most-visited heritage railway – with the person who’s been its custodian for over 30 years. Paul ‘Piglet’ Middleton has been working on the NYMR since he left school and now leads the team maintaining and running it. The star of Channel 4's Steam Train Diaries will share hilarious and heartwarming stories from the historic railway and of the dedicated staff and volunteers who keep its wheels turning. Colin is a Yorkshire-based author of three non-fiction books and a novel. Formerly, he was Director of the Bradford-based National Science and Media Museum, he worked for the BBC for 25 years firstly as a reporter, presenter and interviewer then later in senior editorial and managerial roles, including as Head of BBC Yorkshire.
