A Humument Exhibition

With the help of the Festival Friends, Ilkley Parish Council, Friends of the Manor House and individual donors we were able to reopen the Manor House Museum for the duration of the 2016 Festival and host Tom Philips’ exhibition A Humument – his 50 year visual reworking of a forgotten Victorian novel.

Alongside the exhibition we ran a number of drop in workshops for members of the public to make their own artwork from pages of an old book and made use of the space as an information point about the future of the Manor House.

Thank you to everyone who supported the exhibition and helped make it possible.

“Extraordinary, beautiful and made me think”

“Fascinating and inspiring”
